Mile High Jazz Band Association

The Mile High Jazz Band Association formed in 2001 as a nonprofit corporation to support the MHJB and its subgroup, the Millennium Bugs (jazz combo), promote live jazz performance in northern Nevada, educate the public about jazz, and enrich the cultural life of the community. Member benefits include mailings, discounts on admissions, and invitations to special events, plus the satisfaction of helping big-band jazz to thrive!

Sat., July 19, 2008 - Millennium Bugs perform for private party in Minden - 7:00 to 9:00pm
Tues., July 22, 2008 - no MHJB rehearsal
Sat., July 26, 2008 - "Ribs n' Zin" event at D'Vine Wine, 200 N. Stewart St., Carson City, 4:00-9:00pm, tickets are $45. Call 775-882-7766 for details.

• Millennium Bugs perform from 4:30 to 6:30pm - the call for the combo is 4:00
• Mile High Jazz Band performs from 7:00 to 9:00pm - the call for the MHJB is 6:15
• The band can eat from 6:15 to 7:00pm, but the band and the stage have to be ready for the 7:00pm set at 7:00pm

Sat., Aug. 9, 2008 - Millennium Bugs play for Ice Cream Social for the Carson City Historical Society at the Roberts House Museum, 1207 N. Carson Ct. Carson City - 6:00 - 8:00pm
Tues., August 12, 2008 - MHJB performs at Comma Coffee - 8 to 10pm
Fri., August 15 - MHJB performs 6:30 to 8:00pm for opening of the "Jazz & Beyond" Festival (which begins at 5:00pm) - call is 5:45
Aug. 15-17, 2008 - MHJB and Brewery Arts Center present "Jazz and Beyond" - 5th annual festival - big bands, combos, jam sessions, food, beer tasting, and more, at the Brewery Arts Center, 449 W. King St., Carson City - we need volunteers from the band to help. Call David or Ellie for details
