Mile High Jazz Band Association

The Mile High Jazz Band Association formed in 2001 as a nonprofit corporation to support the MHJB and its subgroup, the Millennium Bugs (jazz combo), promote live jazz performance in northern Nevada, educate the public about jazz, and enrich the cultural life of the community. Member benefits include mailings, discounts on admissions, and invitations to special events, plus the satisfaction of helping big-band jazz to thrive!

To book the Mile High Jazz Band (big band), Millennium Bugs (jazz combo), or David & Friends (other combo) call 775-883-4154.

... more info later, but (as of 7/12/21) we generally plan to have monthly gigs on the second Tuesday of each month at Living the Good Life. Jazz & Poetry events will be in the months of March, June, September, and December. At this point, gig at Comma Coffee have been suspended due to a change in their business model. We thank Comma Coffee for being our primary "home" from April 2001 through 2019.

Park on the west side of the school building, where there are several parking spaces covered by solar panels. Enter by some double doors on the west side of the building. Take the short hall to your left, take a right at the "T", go down the ramp or stairs to an open commons area, take the curved up-ramp to your left, and head straight down the hallway when you are at the top of the ramp. The band room is the third door on your left and is labeled as room 61 and as "Mr. Jacques."

As you are heading east from Carson City on Route 50, towards Dayton, you will cross under the V&T Railroad bridge. Take the second left (Red Rock Road) and stay straight until you come to a chain link fence containing the building with the tall tower. That is your destination. The building has a 150-foot tower on the side. Go in through the first opening in the fence.
