Mile High Jazz Band Association

The Mile High Jazz Band Association formed in 2001 as a nonprofit corporation to support the MHJB and its subgroup, the Millennium Bugs (jazz combo), promote live jazz performance in northern Nevada, educate the public about jazz, and enrich the cultural life of the community. Member benefits include mailings, discounts on admissions, and invitations to special events, plus the satisfaction of helping big-band jazz to thrive!

Sat., December 5, 2009 - "Speedy" Garfin & The Garfin Gathering perform at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall, 7:30 p.m. (MHJB Assoc. and BAC are sponsors of this event)
Tues., December 8, 2009 - MHJB performs at Comma Coffee - 8 to 10 p.m., "Jazz & Poetry," call is 7:30 p.m.

Note: MHJB is contracting the "Gents of Jive" to perform for New Years Eve at Sharkey's, and Mark Ashworth is coordinating the performers. None of the MHJB regular performers are involved, but MHJB Assoc. benefits from the arrangement.
